Fishing trips are fully guided by a US Coast Guard Captain/ Master Guide with all bait and tackle included. All fishing is done from a 18ft Lund Alaskan with all US Coast Guard recommended life safety equipment to include a Type-1 life jacket for each person, 2 two way radios, survival kit, GPS/Navigational Aid, and many more safety items. We will be fishing in and around the lower Kennebec River in Tidal water where the views are absoluty amazing and the fishing is even better. This trip is great because with every cast you may have a 40+ inch striper on, weighing well over 30 lbs or we may get into acres of surfacing fish busting bait where as fast as you can cast you can catch.

Landing stripers more than 24 inches long can be challenging for someone used to fishing for trout or smallmouth bass on light tackle. Getting them to the side of the boat is the easy part; getting them hoisted and in position for a net without allowing them enough leverage to snap themselves off the line takes a little touch.
After losing two such fish myself, it was with a little trepidation that i looked into the biggest striper I had ever gotton my line on. Shortly after lunchtime with bright sunshine beating down on me on the kennebec, I played the fish perfectly - never giving the line any slack, directing the fish carefully to the side of the boat on my own terms. I was beaming with pride."
