Allagash Alliance - A group which pledges to provide support and assist the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands in matters relating to the AllagashWilderness Waterway. Androscoggin Bassmasters - A Maine Bass Federation and B.A.S.S. federated bass club dedicated to Maine's youth, conservation, and the sport of bass fishing. Host to the annual Androscoggin River open, youth derbies. Find local winning techniques, bass tournaments, photos, and information you need. ATV Maine - A statewide alliance of ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) Clubs. BLIP - Your answer to deer overpopulation problems. Blue Hill Rifle and Pistol Club - This is a family orientated club, in existence for over 50 years, located on Range Road, off Rt 15 in Blue Hill, Maine. We offer an indoor rifle range and an outdoor pistol range with trap field. We hold Cowboy Action shooting events, NRA matches, NRA instructional classes, trap shoots weekly and activities for 4H clubs and scouts. Chiputneticook Lakes International Conservancy, Inc. - CLIC is the lake association formed in 1992 and incorporated in 202 in Maine as a non profit corporation to support the five Chiputneticook Lakes; North, East Grand, Mud, Spednic and Palfrey. Conservation Loon License Plates - Visit Maine DOC's webpage dedicated to the Loon Conservation License Plate. Friends of Maine Seabird Islands - The mission of the Friends of Maine Seabird Islandsis to promote and support the goals of acquisition, conservation, restoration and management of seabirds and significant seabird nesting islands and coastal habitats in Maine through community outreach, education and partnerships. Friends of Maine Seabird Islands is a community based non-profit conservation organization with 501(c)(3) tax status from the United States Internal Revenue Service. Hunters for Fair Bear Hunting - A grassroots organization of Maine Guides and hunters who support the Bear Referendum. International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies - IAFWA is a quasi-governmental organization of public agencies charged with the protection and management of North America's fish and wildlife resources. Izaak Walton League of America - This page features one of the nation's oldest, most respected conservation organizations with more than seven decades of conservation achievements which include: monitoring streams, conducting hunter education courses, supporting Becoming An Outdoors-Woman programs and Teaming With Wildlife coalitions, providing outdoor recreation opportunities for state residents, and conducting other types of work and activities to protect state wildlife and natural resources. Junior Maine Guide Program - This certification program is offered primarily through Maine summer camps, and prepares youth ages 9-18 for a one-week camp to earn JMG certification. Jointly sponsored by the Maine Youth Camping Association and the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. The Lakes Environmental Association - Serving the Lakes Region of Western Maine, L.E.A. is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to clean lakes in the Sebago watershed. Includes Lakes Region fishing report and daily input from angler. Land for Maine's Future Program - The Program was established in 1987 when Maine voters overwhelmingly approved a $35 million bond for purchasing lands of statewide significance for recreation and conservation. Leopold Education Project - An innovative, interdisciplinary, critical thinking, conservation and environment education curriculum based on the classic writings of the renowned conservationist, Aldo Leopold. The Leopold Education Project teaches the public about humanity's ties to the natural environment in the effort to conserve and protect the earth's natural resources. Maine Aquatic Biodiversity Project - A collaborative venture of The Nature Conservancy and the Maine Departments of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and Environmental Protection. MABP is producing an in-depth synthesis of what is known about freshwater biodiversity in Maine. The project focus is on the fish, macroinvertebrates, amphibians, reptiles and vascular plants that inhabit the streams, rivers, ponds and lakes of Maine. The MABP database currently includes data from almost 200 studies -- and the number continues to grow as new research and monitoring programs are accessed. MABP plans to eventually make all the data accessible via the web. At the present time, only a subset of the data are web-accessible. These data are the metadata for each study -- data that describe when the study was carried out, by whom and where, and what types of data were collected. This catalogue of biodiversity studies can be accessed via this website.

Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission - This site has Atlantic sea-run salmon fishing regulations and licensing requirements; information about the Maine Atlantic Salmon Authority; Atlantic salmon rivers in Maine. Also, links to related sites.

Maine Audubon - Dedicated to both environmental education and advocacy since 1843, Maine Audubon is a community of people who share an appreciation of Maine's wildlife and outdoors and a commitment to stewardship of the state's wildlife and outstanding natural resources. We connect people and nature through hands-on experiential learning and build community through members and chapters. Our site features event and program information, trail maps, rare bird alert, project updates, excerpts from our publications, and information about volunteering or becoming a member. Maine Bass Federation - The Federation is not only about fishing, we are also very deeply rooted in Youth and Conservation projects. Maine Chapter of the Izaak Walton League - A state chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA). Founded in 1922 as a national organization of hunters, anglers and other conservation-minded outdoor enthusiasts, the IWLA supports volunteer, community-based action and education programs to ensure the sustainable use of America's natural resources.

North Maine Woods - We are a non-profit organization formed by private landowners to manage access and public use of nearly 4 million acres of public and private forestland in northern Maine. There are two tracts under NMW management. The 3.5 million acre North Maine Woods tract is located north and west of Baxter State Park to the Canadian border. The KI Jo-Mary Multiple Use Forest is 180,000 acre tract located between Greenville, Millinocket and Brownville. Both areas are open to hunting, fishing and camping.

Penobscot County Conservation Association - The PCCA is a volunteer organization formed in 1921 to promote and preserve our sporting heritage and wildlife in Penobscot County, Maine. U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 02-08 - based at Station Portsmouth Harbor, serves the New Hampshire and southern Maine region with boater education, free vessel safety checks, and safety patrols on local watersways.

Western Maine ATV Club - located in Wilton, Maine but open to all areas for new members. Each year we have an annual Toys for Tots ride. The toys and donations collected from this stay in our local areas.

Wilderness Rescue Team - An all-volunteer, non-profit corporation providing searches, technical rescue, and medical services in wilderness areas throughout Maine.

Winter Walk 2005 - The winter of 2005 is the Silver Anniversary of the 200 mile snowshoe and toboggan trip that Garrett and Alexandra Conover took over the frozen waterways of the Maine North Woods. The route started from Greenville, at the foot of Moosehead Lake, up the lake and across the Northwest Carry. From there, they journeyed up the West and North branches of the Penobscot, across another height of land, and then down the St. John River to Allagash Village, at the confluence where the Allagash joins the St. John. This site also includes education links.
